What information is added from the MLS

The information added from the MLS varies by MLS and by agent.  There are 900 MLSs and each of them capture different information in different ways.  So this list is what "could" come from the MLS, but results vary widely even in the same neighborhood:

  • Property type is used to determine if it is a condo or single family home or townhouse
  • # of bedrooms and bathrooms are used to create rooms of that type
    • The first bedroom or bathroom will be created as a master if it is specified that the house has a master
  • The following rooms may be created
    • Other rooms like Recreation Room, Den, Office, etc,...
    • Attached or detached garages
    • Basement or crawlspace
  • A number of property descriptions including potentially:
    • style of home
    • water source
    • sewer source
    • price of home
    • # of stories
    • square footage
    • year built
  • The following items may be added
    • Patio
    • Fence and Gate
    • Balcony, Deck or Porch
    • Cook Top
    • Garbage Disposal
    • Standalone Freezer
    • Trash Compactor
