How to create a TREC compliant report

There are a few steps you need to take to create a TREC compliant report for the state of Texas.  

Step 1

The most important step is to change the overall format to the TREC report. To do this:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select Report Style Settings
  3. Select Details Layout
  4. Choose the Texas format

Step 2

Now you must ensure the footer matches the TREC style.  The footer is only seen when the report is saved to PDF.  When it is viewed online, there are no headers or footers

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Report Header / Footer Settings
  3. Select Custom Text and replace or add to the current setting the TREC report number.  REI 7-5 (5/4/2105)
  4. Make sure Custom Text Location indicates Footer

Step 3

Make sure you have a section titled "Additional Information Provided by Inspector".  This is essentially the Scope of Inspection section and will contain any property-level disclaimers you would like to add.

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Go to Report Label Settings
  3. Change Scope of Inspection to "Additional Information Provided by Inspector"
